Keeping Cozy

 Hello Lovelies,

I wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Yule, and Happy Kwanzaa,

I hope you are enjoying the best this holiday season has to offer. With all the parties, caroling, shopping and family time, don’t forget to take care of yourself this holiday season. Remember to take some time to refresh and relax. You deserve every good thing. My day job offered a training class this past week about keeping your chakras healthy this time of year and maintaining balance. It was a wonderful class and an excellent reminder to take of ourselves before we can care for others. If we are out of balance, our lives out of sync what do we have to other others? Not our best selves, so we need to ensure we are cultivating our best selves in all aspects of our lives.

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

This year I am doing a better job of enjoying the holiday season and not getting stressed out. I planned ahead and had my holiday shopping done before Thanksgiving. I have my menu planned for Christmas day, with the help of my awesome husband the groceries have been bought. I took some time to enjoy the holiday more this year by joining my community carolers singing to those who have let us know they would like a visit from the singing Jingle Bells.  The event starts with a social hour complete with baked treats and hot cocoa; not to mention fun activities for the kids. This year one of the dads drove a support van for the little ones in case they needed a break which was super thoughtful.

A couple of traditions we have at our house is to attend the Christmas jazz concert, which was on hold last year and so we were very excited to be able to attend this year and the community holiday decorations contest. We enjoy driving around looking at all the creative holiday light displays. Below is one of the most creative I’v seen this year.
