Storming into the Week

Dear Reader,

My thoughts and prayers are with those who suffered damage from Tropical Storm Nestor. We are feeling a little of its effects today here as well. Lots of rain and wind. So far no reports of property damage, although the rain has made traveling quite treacherous today.

With the storm outside, it was a good day to stay inside and get some writing done. There is much to do with three books under way. Some people will tell you not to start a new book until the last one is finished. That is good advice if you need a little help focusing on a project. But, for me. It is good to have another project as a distraction when I run into a road block on the other. Some people use free writing to help with writers block. I prefer to write in a completely difference genre for a few days. Use a different part of the creativity to think about different characters and goals. I even schedule myself time to write in each book. Monday maybe been for science fiction, Tuesday for romance, Wednesday back to science fiction and so on. But, you have to find your groove and what works for you.
