Dear Reader,
If you’ve been following along with me on the NaNoWriMo journey you will know my weekends are unstructured as far as writing time. And you may know that I was still finishing Day 9’s word total at 3:30 this morning. It is very unlikely, I will meet today’s total before midnight. I haven’t written one word yet today and at the moment, I am sitting in my favorite chair next to the fireplace with a cuppa and my writing buddies, Velvet and Olive. Lily the basset isn’t far away.
Today’s non-Nano accomplishments include getting some Christmas shopping done. Tomorrow will include retrieving the Christmas decorations from the attic and begin the process of sorting them and deciding which ones to put up this year.
But, after that, I have writing time scheduled.
I heard an excellent interview on the Self Publishing Formula Podcast this week with Octavia Randolph. I have to admit that I was not familiar with her work. But, I am now I a huge fan. I rushed to find one of her books. Check out her website, even if you are not a fan of Historical Fiction the world she has created is amazing. Her website is impressive. And if you do enjoy Historical Fiction and you haven’t read her books yet, you really need to! www.octavia.net.
Some good news this weekend is that two special friends of my adopted a 1-year-old pup and gave him a forever home. They are heroes in my book. Welcome to your new home Murphy Chamberlain!
What are you doing this weekend? Are you writing? Do you have a writing buddy?
